If you look at the top right of my website you will notice my live subscribe button widget. This shows how many facebook subscribers I have and a direct button people can press to subscribe to me. If you are getting traffic on your website then you can be getting loads of facebook subscribers off the back of it. The idea of this concept is that if you subscribe to someone, in return they will subscribe to you back. This concept is very powerful if you are looking for numbers. Lots of people in the industry subscribe to a large amount of people, including celebrities in the hope that a high amount of those people subscribe back. Status updates
It’s all about posting good and fresh content on a regular basis. Once people start seeing great posts from you, they are going to start liking and sharing it more, thus bringing you more exposure in an untapped area (the power of social viral). Treat the status updates just like your twitter account. If you post an update on twitter, its great when you get a retweet. The same applies for your facebook status update.
